Medical Massage

This outcome based massage primarily focuses on the application of a indivualized treatment that is specifically targeted to the problems that the patient is having.

Sports Massage

This form of bodywork is geared towards indivuduals that participate in athletics. It is used to help prevent injuries, to prepare the body for athletic activity and maintain it in optimal condition, as well as to help athletes recover from workouts or injuries.

Restorative Massage

Probably the most well known form of massage, Restorative technique incorporates slow, relaxing strokes, creating a soothing, tranquil massage. The primary goal of the Restorative massage is to relax the entire body. It is excellent for overall muscle relaxation and maintaining healthy muscle tissue, as well as reducing stress levels. This massage technique is exceptionally beneficial for increasing the level of oxygen in the blood, decreasing muscle toxins, improving circulation and flexibility, all while easing tension.

Tigger Point Therapy

Trigger point massage therapy is specifically designed to alleviate the source of your pain through cycles of isolated pressure and release. This is the type of therapy that is performed in our office during Physical Therapy sessions before and/or after your chiropractic adjustments. You can experience a significant decrease in pain after just one treatment. Receiving massage with trigger point therapy on a regular basis can help to naturally manage pain and stress from chronic injuries.

Deep Tissue Massage

Deep tissue massage therapy is similar to Restorative massage, but the deeper pressure is beneficial in releasing chronic muscle tension. The focus in on the deepest layers of muscle tissue, tendons, and fascia (the protective layer surrounding muscles, bones, and joints).

Pre-Natal & Post-Natal Massage

Massage therapy during pregnancy is a wonderful complementary choice for prenatal care. It is a healthy way to reduce stress and promote overall wellness. Massage relieves many of the normal discomforts experienced during pregnancy, such as backaches, stiff neck, leg cramps, heachaches, and edema (or swelling). In addition, massage during pregnancy reduces stress on weight bearing joints, encourages blood and lymph circulation, and helps to relax general nrevous tension. Depending on what stage of pregnancy you are in, we can accomadate you comfortably using a special pregnancy pillow, or using a side-laying position later on in your pregnancy.

After the birthing process your body is often sore and adjusting to many new changes that motherhood brings. Many new mothers also suffer from lack of sleep and rapid hormonal changes, so massage is an excellent way to relax and rejuvinate during this life transition.
